Foursquare Germany
Founded in 1985 by Jörg Schmidt.
Website: www.foursquare-deutschland.de
National Leader:
Jochen Geiselhart
Jochen Geiselhart started his term as national leader in September 2015, after serving as vice-president for the last nine years. Jochen Geiselhart founded a foursquare church in the southwest of Germany in 1999 after working as a financial controller in different companies. He also was involved in several church plants and in training and coaching of young leaders. He also is president of a bible institute which trains mainly young and bi-vocational leaders to gain a bachelor or master degree. He and his wife Brigitte are married for 27 years and have four children.
Strategy for the nation:
Foursquare Germany has now 35 churches. Within the Foursquare movement we have a special emphasis on strong and encouraging relationships. Therefore we established a structure of regional coordinators who have the responsibility to oversee, to take care and to encourage the local pastors as well as their church leadership.
We do have a threefold strategy for the next season of Foursquare Germany:
- A new emphasis on church planting through
- Young leaders who are empowered by their leaders to be open
- For new ways and models of what church can look like.
